The Saskatchewan Foster Families Association requires an individual interested to work as part of our In Home Support Program in supporting families requiring domestic and childcare supports. This support position is for a home located in Silton, SK.
The SFFA exists to support and encourage foster families through education and advocacy, helping create healthy homes, positive environments, and brighter futures for children and youth in care across the province.
Responsibilities
Supervise and monitor the safety of children/youth
Prepare and organize meal and snack times
Assist with childrens daily routines
Organize and participate in recreational activities
Assist children with homework as required
Perform housekeeping duties such as laundry, dishwashing, and cleaning related to the general upkeep of the household; Sanitize toys and play equipment as needed.
Education
Minimum High School Diploma; Post Secondary education in early childhood education is considered an asset
Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older
1 years of relevant childcare experience in addition to education
Criminal Record Check inclusive of Vulnerable Sector Check
Valid Drivers License to travel to and from the home in Silton, SK
Job experience preferred in one of the following fields: daycare, educational assistant, house cleaner
This support position is for 15 hours/week, with schedule managed between Caregiver and qualified applicant. Hours have potential to increase. Wage is $14.00 per hour.
