The employee will work under the Foreman and as part of a team of employees in effectively and efficiently performing day to day operations of the Town of Naicam. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- general cleaning, minor repair and operations for buildings, vehicles and equipment
- submit paperwork assigned in a timely manner
- garbage pickup
- grass, tree and shrub cutting
- stocking and inventory of parts and supplies.
- roads and sidewalks maintenance and repairing water and sewer lines
- water treatment and distribution and sewer collection and treatment duties as assigned
- snow removal including grader operation
Experience:
-Able to operate a grader and other heavy equipment
-Understanding of Municipal governance and process an asset
-Experience supervising employees (i.e. summer students)
-Familiarity with municipal water and sewer systems an asset
Preferred Qualifications (to be obtained within 2-3 years of employment)
-Water Treatment & Distribution, and Wastewater Treatment & Collection Class 1
-Transportation of Dangerous Goods
-Confined Space Entry
-First Aid/CPR
-Valid Class 5 Drivers License (required)
-Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
-Power Mobile Equipment (an asset)
