Description

Autism Services of Saskatoon is looking for a creative, dedicated and responsible individual who enjoys interacting with children/youth (2-6 years of age) and their families, to fill a 12-13 month term position as the Senior Therapist in the ABA Little Tots program.  

This is a multifaceted position with an emphasis on staff and family training, coordination, intervention program development, direct work with clients and supervision responsibilities.

Under the clinical oversight of the Director, you will be responsible for delivering one-on-one programming developed specifically for each child. You need to have strong play skills, a positive attitude, and lots of energy and patience. You are a good multi-tasker, are organized, encouraging, and enthusiastic. You are able to take constructive feedback and implement it immediately in home and/or center based therapy sessions. You will be able to coach parents through various target behaviors and skill acquisition plans. You should also feel comfortable presenting information about ASD to the public.

The ideal candidate will have:
- a Masters Degree in clinical human services such as Psychology, Education, Speech Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist
- a minimum of two years experience in the development, delivery and coordination of ABA or IBI programs  
- demonstrated understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder, experience working on multidisciplinary teams, coordination skills and family support experience
- experience in the clinical and administrative supervision and support of direct service workers
- highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to work respectfully and cooperatively with other team members
- a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle (required)
- proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office
