Description

Responsibilities:  
-Perform client assessment, implementation of care, and evaluation
-Administrate the medical surveillance program for compliance
-Liaise with the company doctor
-Facilitate First Aid training and other sessions
-Manage preventive health programs ie. immunizations
-Create procedures and work instructions
-Compile and submit monthly injury statistics
-Perform site-wide health inspections
-Participate in emergency training exercises
-Support the Radiation Protection Group
-Provide sample collection for substance testing
-Liaise with provincial health authorities
-Administer the Direct Observed Therapy (DOT) procedure for clients with Tuberculosis
-Perform sutures if certified by a doctor (RN)

Skills and Qualifications:
-Registered Nurse, licensed in Saskatchewan. Occupational health experience and/or northern nursing experience is preferred
-Spirometry, ECG, and Audiometry Certification or equivalent experience
-Basic Trauma Life Support is preferred
-Familiarity with Employee Family Assistance Program
-First Aid Instructors Certificate preferred
-Ability to assign directions to assisting ERT members
-Proficient in Microsoft programs
-Respect for and understanding of multicultural values
-Ability to maintain confidentiality
-Preference will be given to qualified Residents of Saskatchewans North (RSN)
-Required to work independently and, where necessary, take charge of situations
-Required to have a sound knowledge of the companys operations and legislative requirements

Work Location & Schedule:  
-McClean Lake minesite; 11 hour work days
