Description

Role:
The Quality Assurance Inspector, as an integral part of the Quality Assurance Team, will assist in achieving OpCo objectives related to quality and food safety, with an emphasis on quality checks and stock rotation.

Role Responsibilities:

Monitor inventory for compliance with Sysco Reginas established product thresholds (i.e. date code checks, storage compliance, etc.).

Participate in the implementation and maintenance of quality assurance policies and procedures for receiving, storage and distribution, consistent with a HACCP program.

Assist with inspections of incoming loads of all product categories.

Identify opportunities to minimize shrink levels and quality related credit notes.

Attend Sysco Reginas Shrink Committee if required.

Ensure compliance with outside auditing customers.

Analyze customer complaints and take appropriate action.

Communicate with other Sysco Regina personnel on quality related issues.

Responsible for compliance with all Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) comprising Syscos Food Safety Program, specific for the assigned role.

Maintain quality standards to ensure customer satisfaction.

Other related duties as assigned.



Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:  

Excellent knowledge of Sysco Reginas products, customers, and suppliers.

Computer proficiency with a strong working knowledge of the SWMS system.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Good planning, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Self-motivated personality with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

A practical and flexible approach to duties and responsibilities.

Ability to adapt to continuous improvement practices.

Must be forklift certified or have the ability to become forklift certified.

Must be committed to continuous learning.
