Description

Working within a Supportive Apartment Living environment for pregnant and early postpartum women struggling with addiction issues, the Case Worker is responsible for providing intensive support services and supervision to residents.  They will participate in goal setting with residents, helping them to identify challenges and problem areas and supporting them to address these areas; participate in case management meetings, provide advocacy on behalf of residents, provide appropriate referrals, provide transportation to appointments and activities, participate in program related activities including assisting parents to develop parenting and life skills, and ensure the safety of residents and their children through the application of appropriate policies and practice.  Previous experience working within a group home setting and/or working with families with similar challenges are assets.  Please highlight your knowledge of women and substance abuse issues, prenatal and postnatal care, and harm reduction.  A combination of education and experience will be considered. A valid Drivers Licence is required.
