The Saskatchewan Trucking Association is the leader and voice for truck transport in the province of Saskatchewan.
The Saskatchewan Trucking Association is looking to hire an individual on a 1-year contract commencing November 1, 2019 to December 31, 2020.
This individual will be responsible for the development of policies, programs, services, new initiatives in response to identified needs, trends and issues relevant to workplace safety and health in the trucking industry.
Delivery and execution of training in a classroom and on site to industry specific companies with regards to safety.
Develop and maintain effective relationship with members including industry stakeholders and strategic partners including federal and provincial governmental agencies, non-government organizations, health and safety leaders, educational institutions and community organization to support information sharing, cooperating and achievement of common safety goals promote training & safety to industry.
Develop a strong and visible presence within the community, acting as an ambassador for safety in the trucking industry and continuing to raise its profile.
What we need from you:
The successful applicant will have a background in Safety Training and Administration with a minimum 5 years experience. Trucking experience a definite asset
Certificate of completion or post secondary education in an Occupational Health and Safety program or equivalent experience.
Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills as well as experience facilitating discussions and consultations.
Use of Microsoft Platforms
Willing to travel and have your own vehicle
Valid drivers license
Criminal record check
