Description

Summary of Duties:
The Concession/Bar Lead is responsible for leading and directing one or more concession employees by ensuring the appropriate and efficient completion of various job functions, and that patron and staff member needs are addressed while maintaining both their safety and a high level of customer service.  Provides ongoing training and leadership to a team of concession/bar personnel in all facets of concession/bar operations and ensures staff on duty abides by policy and procedure. Prepares position assignments, break schedules, and event duties and responsibilities. Monitors production levels, quality, cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and adherence to safe food handling processes and responsible service of alcohol by others. Ensures proper opening and closing procedures are followed, issuing and collecting floats as well as maintaining change bags; proper documentation is completed, secures cash and keys in care and custody and operates the POS system as required. The Concession/Bar Lead applicant must meet the qualifications to fulfill the duties of a primary position such as Concession Counter Attendant as required.  

Candidates will be assessed on the following information;
Education and Experience:
Grade 12 education is preferred.
Food Safe, Service Best, Serve it Right certification is required.
Demonstrated experience in a leadership/supervisory role in a retail food service operation is preferred.
Previous experience is preferred.
Demonstrated experience resolving elevated customer issues/complaints is preferred.
Previous experience working in concessions or retail food service operation.
Previous experience working with preparation of short order items.
Previous experience working with point of sale (POS) systems.
Must be 19 or older due to SLGA requirements for service of alcohol.
