Description

The financial clerk coordinates the payroll function for the Provincial Emergency Communications Centre located in Prince Albert, SK, as well as providing clerical support for the accounts payable and receivable functions. This position can be located in Prince Albert; however, other work arrangements including home office arrangements may be considered.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Payroll

-Ensure that payroll is processed accurately and on time;
-Makes regular payroll adjustments;
-Liaises with the payroll processor to ensure that current Collective Bargaining Agreement is being followed;
-Maintains employee records including updating pay changes, new hires, terminations;
-Maintain accurate pension and benefits records;
-various reconciliations as they relate to payroll

Accounts Payable

-Acts as a control point in the accounts payable process to ensure that the appropriate policies have been followed and notifies the Finance Manager of breaches of policy;
-Codes, enters, and files the invoices in the accounting system;

Accounts Receivables

-Processes monthly accounts receivable;

Position Requirements

-Accounting certificate
-5-years of combined experience in payroll processing, education and training
-Clear criminal record check
-Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Online
-Experience with ADP Workforce Now (asset not necessary)
