Description

The GoCode Girls Learning Lead would be responsible for creating educational programming that would engage and inspire girls to consider a career in computer sciences and other technology-based fields.  This would be done by creating girls-focused programming, facilitating questions girls may have about computer sciences, and curating a list of mentors from professionals in Saskatchewan.   The successful candidate would work with provided technologies and develop engaging lessons that would show girls how interesting coding and digital literacy can be.
The GoCode Girls Learning Lead would also be responsible for travelling to communities with the Go! Science Outreach team to help facilitate programs delivering programs to children all over Saskatchewan.

Specific Responsibilities
    Development of girl-focused programs
-    This position would include the development of computer science-focused programming that highlights achievements of girls and women in the field.
    Program facilitation, including:
-    GoCode Outreach
-    Science Workshops
-    Community Events

    Customer service and promotion- The GoCode Girls Learning Lead will communicate with potential booking locations to assist them in booking an outreach visit and to promote the programs.  
    Staff supervision and training  the successful candidate will be responsible for training both Full-time and Part-time staff on how to teach All-Girls programming.

Must Have Skills/Qualifications:
    Completed post-secondary education in science, computer science, education, interpretation or related field.
    Experience teaching or instructing a variety of age levels
    Willingness to travel year round
    Experience teaching, preferably with experience teaching coding
    Strong communication skills with outside partners
    Valid Class 5 drivers license
    Criminal Record Check w/ Vulnerable Sector Check
