Description

EVRAZ Wasco Pipe Protection Corporation is expanding their Quality Department and looking for Lab Technicians to join the team!

Reporting to the Quality Manager, this is a great opportunity to begin your career as a Quality Lab Tech under the mentorship of an experienced and dedicated team. The Lab Tech will identify, document, communicate and remediate any quality issues in accordance with industry standards to ensure customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. Other duties may be assigned as required.
Set up and conduct chemical and physical tests and analyses using techniques such as titration, conductivity, cathodic disbondment, differential scanning calorimetry, film thickness, adhesion, flexibility etc
Responsible for implementation and administration of the quality control management system
Liaise with personnel from other departments and customers to ensure that requirement and specification standards are clearly defined, understood and are being met
Operate and maintain lab equipment and prepare various solutions
Compile records and interpret analytical results; conduct root cause analysis of test failures
Work with the Quality department to enforce, implement, control and maintain Quality requirements of the company
Assist Quality Manager to ensure all laboratory quality documentations are updated, maintained and under control
Enforce test and inspection requirements in accordance with project specific test plan
Prepare and submit laboratory inspection and testing reports to key stakeholders within required time-frame
Immediately report any non-conformance situation to the appropriate leadership
Monitor and control of equipment calibration requirements and documentation
Participate in ISO 9001 Quality System maintenance and audit process

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
1+ years of relevant experience
Laboratory or Chemical Technologist Diploma, or Bachelor of Science Degree in related field
