Title:        Communications Specialist  Contract for Services to March 31, 2020
Location:     T4EA Head Office  Treaty 4 Governance Centre, Fort QuAppelle, Saskatchewan
Travel is required. All employees are required to submit a current Drivers Abstract and Criminal Record Check with Vulnerability Screen.

OVERVIEW:

The Communications Specialist will provide high level communications and branding support for the Treaty 4 Education Alliance.  This individual will be responsible for the coordination and implementation of a high-quality organizational communications strategy that aligns to the Board of Directors Strategic Plan.
  
QUALIFICATIONS:

    A Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or a combination of relevant education and experience,
    Experience with media relations, including writing news releases,
    Proficient in MS Office; and a variety of technologies and software to support communications,
    An ability to manage, update and monitor Website and Social Media sites,
    Solid research, writing and editing skills to develop newsletters, briefings, technical documents, presentations and reports,
    Ability to gather, organize and document information in a variety of ways,
    Excellent oral and written communication skills,
    Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills
    A good to excellent understanding of First Nations cultures and histories, and issues that pertain to First Nations (an understanding of First Nations education is an asset).
