The Director of Human Resources is responsible for implementing a Human Resources system, recommend Human Resource policies, programs and services and communicate Human Resource policies to all staff within the organization, Assist and advise the Executive Director on matters of the organization that pertain to YTCCFS HR policy and procedures, Federal and Provincial labor codes, Canadian Human Rights and related Human Resources issues, Assist the Executive Director with Board activities, i.e. the coordination of training seminars, workshops, etc. on Human Resources legislation, regulations and standards; benefits, labor law and employment standards; Coordinate staff recruitment with program managers including advertising or posting of job vacancies, processing applications, screening, interviews, reference checking, position offering, orientation, probation, probation evaluation and annual evaluation process; Coordinate pension, group life insurance, health/dental care, disability, and other employee benefits; Organize and conduct employee information meetings on employment policy, benefits and compensation; Develop, implement and monitor a staff performance evaluation system for all staff of the organization; Support and assist in the development and implementation of an Employees Health and Wellness Plan; Provide mentoring, coaching and counseling services to staff, as required.
