Description

The Cognitive Disability Strategy (CDS) works under the host agency of Inclusion Saskatchewan (INSK). It is based on the best practices model of integrated team planning in supporting people who have a cognitive disability. The Intake Assistant will report directly to the INSK Executive Director and will take direction from the CDS Intake Coordinator. This is a full-time, permanent position with 37.5 hours per week (this allows for an earned day off, EDO, every third week). Anticipated position start date is December 1, 2019.

Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting the Intake Coordinator
- Creating, maintaining, and updating mailing & statistical database systems
- Completing administrative duties including photocopying, faxing, mailing, filing, etc.
- Creating agendas for meetings and ensuring distribution of meeting materials
- Preparing correspondence as it relates to Cognitive Disability Strategy funding applications
- Attending meetings, recording outcomes, and ensuring follow-up on action items as required

Requirements & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Post-secondary diploma in administration and/or work experience in office administration would be an asset
- Human Services experience or training
- Proficient in the use of computers and office equipment
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
- Typing with speed and accuracy
- Effective written and oral communications skills, excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize work
- Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and self-directed
- Awareness of the issues surrounding individuals with cognitive disabilities
- Must provide a criminal record check and a vulnerable sector check
