Innovation Saskatchewan (IS) was established in 2009 as a government agency that provides recommendations and advice to the Saskatchewan Government regarding its strategic direction in the areas of research, development, science, and technology. IS is also involved with the demonstration and the commercialization of new technologies and facilitates in the co-ordination of the province's innovation activities. IS encourages a sustainable, globally competitive business environment in the province. It complements the efforts of Saskatchewans innovative private sector. Through this work, IS encourages the ongoing competitiveness of the provincial economy, contributing the objectives laid out by the Government of Saskatchewan. The initiatives supported by Innovation Saskatchewan help ensure a better quality of life for all Saskatchewan people.

IS is seeking an energetic and passionate leader interested in advancing the innovation agenda in the province of Saskatchewan. The new CEO is responsible for the strategic direction of IS, leadership of a team of innovation professionals, and is accountable for the development, implementation and achievement of all corporate plans, policies, and strategies. The CEO is a champion of the innovation agenda of the province and as such, continuously seeks to identify and lead new opportunities for greater impact.

As the ideal candidate, you will hold an advanced university degree and have over 5 years of progressively more responsible management and leadership positions preferably within innovation sectors. The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to serve varied groups of stakeholders and work collaboratively under challenging circumstances. The CEO must be capable of dealing with a wide variety of corporate governance matters. You have a credible presence working with a Board of Directors and excellent project management skills with proven ability to handle multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment.
