The position of Administrative Assistant is primarily responsible for Reception and a wide variety of administrative and office support duties for the Personnel Manager and Area Field Superintendent.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Answer and manage incoming calls
Provide mail support: deal with couriers and the post office, incoming and outgoing mail, sort rig mail and distribute to appropriate department
Support Area Field Superintendent and Personnel Department with administrative duties and tasks as required
Maintain weekly reports
Provide front line support to personnel department by being the primary point of contact
New Hire Orientations, ensuring that all required tickets are up to date
Ensure all pre-screening protocols are completed for new hires
Obtain information on licenses and certifications for field employees
Deal with day to day employee concerns and questions, provide support as required
Ensure all payroll & benefits forms, updates, changes and disability applications are sent to payroll and follow up as required
Manage after hours/on-call employee issues and emergencies when required
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a similar position
Oilfield experience an asset
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
Effective at planning, prioritizing,be an Innovative thinker and able to work under pressure
Able to respond quickly in a dynamic and ever-changing environment
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
SPECIAL CONDITIONS OR EMPLOYMENT:
Ability to work flexible hours and be on-call as required. Overtime may be required on occasion, based on activity levels
