The Lloydminster Native Friendship Centre, Inc.
is currently accepting applications for the full-time, term position who will be responsible to:
? provide group and one-on-one counselling to promote the positive outcomes of community attachment for the individual, their dependents and the community as a whole and ease transitions into the urban centre;
? incorporate traditional Aboriginal values, teaching ceremonies, celebrations and lifestyle practices;
? develop networks and partnerships within the business community, agencies/ service providers and education institutes;
? provide information/referrals to community services and resources;
? recruit potential employers;
? research upcoming employment opportunities and skill requirements through current and future community business development plans;
? Maintain up-to-date job posting directory;
? document and summarizes statistical information and prepare quarterly activity reports
The ideal candidate will possess:
? Post -Secon dary education/ training and experience in t he field of community development; program delivery/coordination;
? Strong organization, leadership and supervisory skills;
? Knowledge and awareness of Indigenous culture;
? Excellent written and oral comm unicat ion skills;
? Excellent computer skills in particular word processing and spreadsheets;
? Valid Class 5 Drivers License;
? Provide satisfactory Criminal Records Background Check and Vulnerable Person Involvement check.
Work is 35 hours per week
