Description

The Client Care Assistant will be a part of a team that promotes and supports WBTC by delivering and participating in effective a safe care of our youth.  Client Care Assistants will actively plan, coordinate and participate in recreational activities with our clients while being a part of a cohesive team of clinical professionals that provide personal support to residents in the treatment and prevention of substance use and concurrent disorders.
While providing direct goal-orientated assistance to our youth, this position will ensure their safety and be attentive and responsive to their needs.

QUALIFICATIONS
Certificate, Diploma or Degree in the field of social work, psychology, education, or human services AND three (3) years direct work experience
OR
Bachelor degree in social work, human services or addictions counselling AND one (1) year direct work experience.
Other Requirements:
Ability to use de-escalation skills with youth clients and seek assistance from Supervisor and/or other staff
Ability to understand the awareness of and sensitivity to the needs of youth and youth culture that WBTC serves
Knowledge of accepted and effective techniques for working with at risk youth with diverse family dynamics
Excellent communication skills, professional demeanor, sound judgment, and strong organizational skills
Ability to impact client retention through mentoring, motivation, and monitoring practices


Detailed knowledge of all current Microsoft Office software applications and programs, including an aptitude and working knowledge of computer courseware and hardware
Commitment to personal wellness
Valid Saskatchewan Drivers License
CPR and First Aid Certification
Must provide a clear CPIC, vulnerable sector check.
