The David Aplin Group has partnered up with our client to assist them in recruiting a Senior Financial Accountant (SFA) in Yorkton, Sk. The (SFA) is a very important leadership position within a dynamic company group, in a fast-paced and growing manufacturing operation.
The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for running/managing the total Accounting and Financial activities of the company. As part of the management team, the SFA will assume responsibility for, and initiate systems and gross margin targets. They will manage the preparation of financial statements and management reports including budget preparations, reconciliations, and scheduling of various accounting-related tasks. SFA will report to the President of the company.

Requirements of the Role:
Education and Experience
10 plus years experience in a Canadian leadership accounting role. Manufacturing experience is ideal. Steel manufacturing is an asset.
Charted Professional Accountant certification, CPA, CMA, CGA, CA, with a University degree preferably in Accounting and/or Finance.
Demonstrated proficiency with advanced accounting principles and guidelines, maintaining a strong internal control environment and operational financial performance reporting.
Working knowledge of standard costing systems relevant to the manufacturing industry
Experienced corporate and functional leadership and organization competencies.
Working knowledge with and ERP, SAP or M2M software is preferred.
