Description

SMI is looking for a Marketing Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Marketing, and working closely with all departments across the organization, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing SMI?s marketing and communication programs to ensure consistent branding across the organization. Serving as a member of the management team, the successful candidate will provide leadership, coaching and direction to staff and will play an integral role in the development of corporate strategy and future planning.
This position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced social media professional to join an established marketing team and take a leadership role in the development and execution of our social media strategy across multiple channels.
The successful incumbent will be a collaborative team player with an advanced understanding of social media marketing. They will have a mandate of establishing and maintaining a strong social media presence to help increase awareness and grow our share of voice.
The successful candidate will have a university degree or equivalent in Marketing and/or Communications, along with a minimum five years marketing management experience; three or more years supervising high performing teams. The individual must be a self-starter with strong leadership, supervisory, interpersonal and problem solving skills. General knowledge of property and casualty insurance is an asset. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively and to manage multiple tasks and deadlines despite interruption are also essential skills required of the Marketing Manager.
