AN EXCITING TEMPORARY NURSING OPPORTUNITY IN A SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT
The Home Care Nurse is responsible for providing community based nursing services, which includes acute care nursing and chronic disease supportive nursing. The Home Care Nurse works under the direction of the Home Care Director, and direct supervision of the Home Care Nursing Supervisor. The Home Care Nurse uses her/his skills effectively to assist Home Care clients to attain their optimal level of independent functioning in activities of daily living.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Registered Nurse in good standing (or eligible to become registered) with Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association
* Bachelor of Science in Nursing
* Home Care nursing experience in First Nations community an asset.
* Must be self-directed and demonstrate organizational skills
* Excellent interpersonal communication skills
* Valid drivers license
* Previous working experience with First Nations people and demonstrate an understanding of the health and social issues encountered by First Nation people and a willingness to learn about and accept First Nations cultures.
* Knowledge of Plains Cree Language is a definite asset
* Must provide a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector
Hours of work: 8:30 to 4:30; Monday to Friday.
Rotational On Call Weekends
