The positions primary purpose is to provide enterprise system expertise while leading a team of staff in the support of technology service delivery, in conjunction with identification and analysis of client, infrastructure, and system requirements. This position is accountable for the successful management, operation and upgrading of the enterprise systems under its purview, and is also a liaison with other information technology teams.
Key Outcomes:
The Director Technology Support is responsible for management of service delivery to ensure best practices in the infrastructure of technical operations by developing and overseeing SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, time-based) metrics for hardware, software, and storage. This position will also identify and eliminate security vulnerabilities with strategic solutions that increase data security, and provide oversight of IT activities to ensure data availability and network services with as little downtime as necessary.
This role is also responsible to provide effective execution of technology service delivery to internal stakeholders and external clients by leading a team in the development and maintenance of an infrastructure support strategy and roadmap that aligns to our business strategy. This includes managing change through change management best practices, encouraging the development of action plans to appropriately mitigate risk, as well as managing, understanding and articulating current and future processes through process modelling. This position works in cooperation with technology vendors/suppliers, translate business requirements into technology requirements and/or service delivery.
