Job Description: Perform clerical and administrative functions in accordance with Goudy Transport's policies and procedures. Duties include but are not limited to: customer billing and invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, time sheets, processing new hire documentation, monthly reporting and government documents.
You will be expected to complete the following day to day tasks:Maintain or examine the records of government agencies.Develop,maintain and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgets costs and actual costs.Prepare,examine or analyze accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports to assess accuracy,completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. Review accounts for discrepancies and reconcile differences. Prepare invoices,identify them with correct GL coding and forward to account payable. Compile,copy,sort and file records of office activities, business transactions. Assist with the billing process, payroll time entry for staff, provide excellent telephone communication skills and customer service, prepare daily,weekly, monthly and quarterly reports as needed, compose and type letters and other correspondence, sort and distribute mail.Assist management and other employees with all aspects of administrative related duties/request. Other tasks as assigned.
This position reports to the office manager and the owner.
Qualifications:
Grade 12 education with post-secondary education as an asset. 5 years or more experience in the field of accounting, 1-year minimum experience in Oilfield or a similar environment, be able to handle a fast pace environment, Must have working knowledge of Quickbooks, Microsoft Office. Ability to handle multiple tasks and set personal priorities. Basic organizational and time management skills are essential. Attention to detail.
Previous experience with inventory management is considered an asset.
