Description

The Driver/Janitor executes pick ups from donors and to clients. Additionally, will maintain the cleanliness of the facility, property and grounds

Driver
    Ensures the safe and careful handling of all deliveries, donations, and funds entrusted to him/her while protecting all aspects of property
    Takes responsibility for daily and overall safety, maintenance, operation of vehicles
    Provides donors and clients with courteous and diplomatic service
    Loads and unloads goods at the Ministry Centre, destinations, and other storage facilities
    Performs other duties as assigned

Janitor
    Ensures the general upkeep of the facility such as cleaning floors, washrooms, windows, dusting, collects and disposes of garbage, vacuums
    Checks, cleans, moves, arranges and dusts furniture as required
    Ensures the general upkeep of external property such as mowing lawns, keeping sidewalks clear of snow and ice, cleaning main floor outside windows, picking up litter, sweeping sidewalks, gardening/watering and pruning shrubs, raking
    Performs other duties as assigned


Special Licenses, Diplomas, Certifications or Requirements:
    Valid Saskatchewan Drivers license Class 5
    Proof of clean driving record
    Criminal Police Check

Physical Effort/Dexterity Required:
    The performance of the job requires a frequent amount of sitting for long periods of time, twisting, bending, crouching, reaching, reaching overhead, pushing and pulling, lifting and kneeling. Required to regularly lift in excess of 50 pounds. Operation of some commercial cleaning equipment will also be necessary.
