Description

The Office Administrator would provide administrative assistance/support to the Regina Folk Festival office team as we develop programming for our year-round concert and workshop series, our winter festival, and our summer festival. The Office Administrator will share in general administrative duties such as reception, mail, box office sales, supply ordering, meeting bookings, etc.

A.    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Assists the Finance Manager in developing a work plan for the position
-Support with financial data entry and tracking, especially as it relates to our year-end audit
-Support with Concert Series and Winterruption production
-Support with grant writing and reporting
-Support with acquisition and recognition especially as it related to the RFF Concert Series & Winterruption
-Additional administrative duties

B. WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT
-May require some evening and occasional weekend work
-May require on-call work for Concert Series and Winterruption events
-Hours of work may be irregular and flexible, but the expectation is 30 hours/week
-Regular office hours at the Regina Folk Festivals offices will be established among staff members

C. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
-Enrolled in fall session of post-secondary schooling, and intending to return to post-secondary studies after the work term is requires with our funding support from Young Canada Works
-Must first register and be approved by Young Canada Works for eligibility in the Young Canada Works in Both Official Languages program
-High degree of computer literacy, comfortable in a Mac environment
-A keen interest in pursuing a career in the arts & culture sector or event management
-Ability to balance multiple deadlines under pressure
-Good communication skills in both French and English
-Ability to work well with others and independently
- Experience working in Quickbooks
