Description

Reporting to the Primary Health Care Manager, under the supervision of the Senior Occupational Therapist, the Staff Occupational Therapist is responsible for the assessment and treatment of clients/patients/residents incorporating best practice and evidence based research.  The incumbent will also be responsible for the supervision of students assigned to them.

Education:
Baccalaureate degree from a program that is recognized by the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.  Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Society of Occupational Therapists.  Current CPR certification.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience in and knowledge of assessment and treatment techniques based on best practice literature.  Ability to engage in program consultation and resource development in conjunction with Senior Occupational Therapist.  Demonstrated ability to function independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary Primary Health Care Team.  Demonstrated ability to meet the demands of a busy, high pressure clinical caseloads and workload.  Strong oral and written communication skills, professional maturity and leadership abilities.

Additional Information:
