The Prince Albert Early Childhood Intervention Program requires one staff member for the duties of Regional KidsFirst Community Developer. This position is a full-time position for a minimum of the next two years.
Requirements: A degree or diploma in the human services field (Early Childhood, Social Work, Education) or related fields. Experience is preferred in these fields. Must have a valid drivers license and good driving record. Must have a clean Police Check.
The successful applicant will be a team-player who also possesses the following qualities:
Degree or diploma in human service field or a suitable combination of education and experience;
Knowledge of community development processes and demonstrated community development skills (or willingness to learn); Ability to work with a variety of groups with diverse interests and perspectives; Knowledge of teen, parenting, and early childhood development issues; Excellent public relations, written and oral communication skills; Knowledge of and ability to utilize community resources effectively; Knowledge of interdisciplinary and interagency approaches to service provision; Leadership skills; Tact and diplomacy; Conflict resolution skills; Knowledge of and sensitivity to cross-cultural issues;
Knowledge of family dynamics; Demonstrated ability to function effectively within a team and with the public; Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; Commitment to independent learning
Valid drivers license; ability to travel is required
Flexible hours are required; A police security check and drivers abstract is required.
