CanGas is a successful propane supply, service and equipment Company with people and infrastructure strategically located across Western Canada. CanGas has the resources and passion to vigorously compete and grow in the retail propane supply industry of Western Canada.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Entry and reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts including bank accounts, capital assets, and intercompany balances
Invoice/data entry for accounts payable, cash receipts, and budgets/forecast worksheets
Preparation and reconciliation of customer pre-authorized payments
Generation of vendor payments including Federal and provincial tax remittances.
Preparation of various calculations/reconciliations for COGS, standard monthly journal entries, rental/occupancy costs
Customer receivables monitoring and collections support
Preparation/distribution of monthly financial statements, monthly working papers and year-end working papers
Documentation of various procedures and processes
May perform other duties as assigned and project work
QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Essential Work Experience):
Minimum 1-3 years of general accounting experience
Post-secondary education in accounting (diploma/degree) and currently enrolled in a Professional Accounting Designation program is considered an asset
Experience handling confidential and/or sensitive material in an appropriate and professional manner
Good computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Self-motivated, flexible, ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment under minimal supervision
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must have good attention to detail, organization, problem solving
Previous office experience and ability to multi-task
