Columbian Industries operates a variety of specialized services: a day program centre, two group homes, a supported independent living program and two Sarcan depots.


We are currently hiring for a full time experienced Executive Director to join our team.  In collaboration with the Columbian Industries management team and the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible for the overall administration of the agency.

Administration and Financial Management
Board Relationships
Personnel Management
Program Management
Community Resources

We are looking for an organized, self-aware, empathetic and excellent communicator, that is a leader who is up for any challenge. We need a community-oriented leader who is passionate about helping people of all abilities thriving in our community, and who treats people with dignity and respect.  In addition, successful candidates will have:

Post-secondary education in administration and/or rehabilitation services
5 years experience in management, human services and community development
Experience working with funding agencies and disbursement of funds
Bookkeeping and Accounting experience is an asset
Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, teaching/coaching skills, and relational skills with participants and their families, program workers, peers, and external resource providers
Possess a good working knowledge of computer processing, including but not limited to the Microsoft Office Suite
