Job Description: Reporting to the Manager of Enterostomal Therapy, the responsibilities of the Enterostomal Therapist Educator will include: provide in-patient education and care for enterostomal therapy patients. This will include liaison with families, physicians, staff nurses, and community agencies. Provide individual outpatient treatment and education for patients and families. Promote continuing staff nurse involvement in patient education through effective communication, development of resource materials, and provision of inservice education. Participate in program administration (program development, planning, quality improvement and evaluation). Participate in research and evaluation projects.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Graduate of an accredited Enterostomal Therapy Nursing Education Program (ETNEP)
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Experience
Experience in developing skin, wound and ostomy programs/resources/tools for staff, in the areas of planning, implementation, quality monitoring and evaluation.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to competently use computers and software applications as required by the position

NOTE: This is a Provincial Posting and is open to all SUN members within the bargaining unit as per Articles 27.02 and 27.05 of the SUN Collective Bargaining Agreement. First preference will be given to employees of the SKHA (Saskatoon) and its affiliated agencies.
