Inclusion Saskatchewan (INSK) is a grassroots, community-based, provincial organization that advocates for and supports individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families. INSK is seeking an Inclusion Consultant for the Prince Albert, Saskatchewan region to ensure that citizens of Saskatchewan with intellectual disabilities are full, active & valued members of society. Duties:
Provide advocacy & support to individuals with intellectual disabilities & their families.
Connect with individuals & their families to identify needs & support requirements.
Support & consultation to the community including government, the education system, professionals, & other stakeholders to provide information about best practices & opportunities for community inclusion.
Participate in committees, public awareness presentations, training events & other activities.
Make recommendations for systemic changes (process & policies) across service delivery for people with intellectual disabilities.
Engage with government & community stakeholders to provide research that supports the establishment of community inclusion as a best practice.

Requirements:
The ability to build & maintain relationships with individuals, government and community based organizations.
Excellent written & verbal communications skills.
Experience working independently.
Must have a valid drivers license and be able to travel by self.
Significant travel to Prince Albert and surrounding area.
A criminal record check including a vulnerable sector check.
Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities & their families, as well as navigating complex systems (Health, Justice, Social Services) is an asset.

The successful applicant may work out of the Prince Albert or Saskatoon office.  Please indicate in your application which location is preferred.
