The Opportunity:
We are looking for a qualified Safety Officer to oversee all aspects of our safety program. We are a growing tire recycling and rubber manufacturing business seeking an energetic and positive leader with an eye for detail and the ability to plan and prioritize.
Responsibilities:
Monitors proper administration of safety records and documentation to ensure full compliance with all OHS regulations
Builds and maintains strong and effective relationships with employees at all levels of the organization as well as representatives from OHS, HCSAS, WCB and other relevant bodies
Develops, reviews and oversees all aspects of our internal safety training program
Facilitates inspections, internal audits and incident investigations
Job Requirements:
NCSO or equivalent designation
Minimum 5 years relevant work experience
Well-developed written communication skills and public speaking skills
Willingness to travel for off-site projects
Experience in PME/Heavy Equipment operation and training is an asset
Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
