Responsibilities include:
Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance requests on a wide variety of specialized equipment,
General structural maintenance and semi-skilled trade work, depending on ability/experience. Carrying out preventative maintenance according to established programs and schedules.
Provide a wide variety of support services to other departments, depending on operational needs.
Carry out regular exterior maintenance, weather permitting.
Handling other tasks as required, to provide a clean and safe environment for staff and guest
Physical Requirement
Constant standing and walking, frequent forward reaching, occasional
overhead reaching, frequent crouching, stooping, kneeling, fine finger
manipulation and grasping. Occasional to frequent climbing ladders.
Occasional balancing and crouching. Rarely lifting up to 50 lbs from
overhead to bench/table/cart height (approx. 75-94cm; with assistance
from co-workers). Rarely lifting approx. 50 lbs from floor to waist
(fixtures, beds AC units, etc. with assistance when needed). Occasional
handling up to 30 lbs horizontally.
Required qualification and or experience
Minimum of three (3) years experience working in the area of Environmental services
Experience managing and leading a team is considered an asset
Completion of, or enrollment in the Property Administration Certificate (PAC) program
Knowledge of building systems including- basic plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC and emergency systems is an asset
Knowledge and experience in aspects of housekeeping, laundry and maintenance preferred
