POSITION SUMMARY
    The Safety Program Consultant is to promote the arts and sciences of safety to the WCB R11 rate code (Heavy Construction/Civil Industry) of Saskatchewan.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
    Safety program auditing for companies
    Instruct the training courses of our Association
    Communicate with members the advantages of developing and implementing a Health and Safety Program
    Act as a resource person for members
    Assist members with investigation & inspections when requested
    Safety consulting and problem solving
    Travel throughout the Province
    Representing the Association in a proactive and professional manner

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
    Public speaking
    Adult education skills
    Problem solving skills
    Attention to details
    Maintaining a professional appearance
    Microsoft office programs

Training and qualifications
    Heavy civil industry experience preferred
    Heavy equipment operator experiences preferred
    NCSO (National Construction Safety Officer) or be able to qualify for a NCSO in a timely manner

            Communication
    Ability to communicate clearly and effectively via phone, SMS, interpersonally or by email.
    The ability to, source, read and interpret written information.
