The CLSI is now accepting applications to fill the position of Supply Chain Services Coordinator in the Finance and Corporate Services Division. The Supply Chain Services Coordinator holds primary responsibility for the processes of procurement, shipping/receiving, inventory control and contract administration. The position ensures an exceptional level of customer services is provided to key end users and stakeholders through optimization of the processes and systems under their responsibility.
Responsibilities:
- Plays a lead role in the development and implementation of initiatives to ensure effective procurement of goods and services for the CLS. Influences the design that establishes parameters for such initiatives
- Plays a lead role in the development and implementation of initiatives to ensure effective inventory control procedures and practices are followed and in place to ensure facility operational excellence
- Coordinates activities between purchasing, maintenance, operations and project staff in order to execute work, including supervising staff of two buyers. Must play an active role in maintenance shutdown planning and execution
- Prepares and submits tenders, consults with suppliers and reviews quotations; evaluates cost and quality of goods or services and makes recommendations consistent with established limits and guidelines
- Determines or negotiates contract terms and conditions, awards supplier contracts or recommends contract awards of a more complex nature
Qualifications:
- A relevant undergraduate degree in Business or Commerce
- A minimum of five years of related experience
- Supervisory or leadership experience of a procurement/supply chain function is considered an asset
- Completion of the Supply Chain Management Association of Canada (SCMP) professional designation program is an asset
