Claims Entitlement Specialist II

Duties and responsibilities include:
Determining claim acceptability and entitlement to time loss and medical benefits on initial injury claims.
Reviews information, gathers additional information from all stakeholders.
Makes decisions based on legislation, policy and procedures and communicates decisions to injured workers, employers, their representatives and caregivers.
Initiates, arranges and monitors Return to Work Programs for injured workers.
Monitors progress of injured workers recover and determine ongoing entitlement of claims.
Calculates and authorizes payment of benefits including wage loss, expenses and medical costs.
Qualifications:
Your qualifications include two years post-secondary education (minimum of 20 three credit hour classes) in business administration, health care, education or social sciences plus one year applicable work experience. Strong mathematical and computer skills are required.
