Siemens Transportation Group Inc., has an immediate opening for a Claims Administrator. The candidate will be responsible for loss damage claims acknowledgment, processing, inspections, documentation and settlement.
Responsibilities
- Accept and acknowledge new cargo claims received
- Administer the disposal of claim salvage
- Develop and administer programs to reduce claims
- Investigate and establish liability of loss or damage
- Arrange and perform inspections as required
- Actively investigate and resolve outstanding claim files
- Record and file intent to claim notifications
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Superior time management skills and great attention to detail
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel spreadsheets and databases)
- Knowledge of cargo claim processing and workings
- Experience in the trucking industry is an asset
