Description

The Clinical Services Manager is directly accountable to the Executive Director for carrying out the goals and objectives of the Primary Care, Community Health, Communicable Disease and Home and Community Care programs as well as Physicians and Specialist services as outlined in the PBCN Health Services Community Health Plan in the communities of Pelican Narrows, Deschambault Lake, Southend and Sturgeon Landing.


Provide direct supervision and leadership to the PCCHM, HCCM, ERC, Dietician, Nursing Coordinators, Nursing Assistant and other related program managers;
Develop/Evaluate/Implement:
Policies and programs;
Yearly primary care Nursing Operational Plans and participates in the budget process;
Oversee the preparation, coordination and monitoring of the financial and activity reporting requirements for the Programs;
Promotes and maintains high standards of professional primary care nursing in PBCN designated health facilities related to Primary Care and Treatment programs;
Ensuring safe practices in compliance with SRNA Scope of Practice etc
Supports on-going recruitment and retention strategies
Conducts evaluations on both staff performance and primary care treatment effectiveness;
Conducts bi-annual chart reviews and program audits and reviews with Health Directors and Nursing Coordinators;
Establish and monitor professional medical service contracts for the communities, including but not limited to physicians, pharmacists, optometrists and ophthalmologists.

Must be registered with the SRNA as either an RN/APP or RN/NP (preferred).
