Cornwall Alternative School is hiring a part-time/contract bookkeeper starting December 1, 2019.  This position shares an office with the Principal/CEO.  Cornwall is an Independent School working with youth ages 12-18 in Grades 7-10. The hours are flexible (8-10 hours per week) and this position may be ideal for a retired accountant. Clean Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check is required.

Duties Include:
Financial transactions using SAGE and Ceridian software.

Process accounts payable, receivable and 2 unionized payrolls (11 employees); record fixed assets and depreciation; reconcile accounts; maintain general ledger; keep financial records; produce monthly financial statements including comparison to budget; yearly audit preparation; assist with development of budget and sundry reports.

Business Equipment and Computer Applications:
Microsoft Excel, SAGE, Ceridian, Microsoft Word.
