Description

When it comes to building construction, you've seen (and done) it all. You know why the builders chose the materials they did and can ballpark how much they spent to do it. The ace up your sleeve is that you can explain it all to anyone who asks!

Sound familiar? If you've got experience in building construction and repair, and pride yourself on your ability to provide an outstanding customer experience, we want you to come share your knowledge and expertise with us as a permanent, full-time Claims Construction Specialist in Regina.

We're looking for a resident guru who can provide building construction and repair expertise to everyone in our Claims department. That'll include building inspections, preparing and/or reviewing repair estimates and consulting with adjusters on complex property claims to help quantify damages and repair costs. From time to time, we'll ask you to put on your trainer hat to support our property adjusting staff with technical advice and support on building construction and repairs. Oh, and while you're at it, one more hat - overseeing and supervising the odd construction contractor.  Be ready for some travel throughout the province and out of province to claims centres and loss sites.

Requirements
We're counting on you to bring a unique combination of knowledge & skills to this role. We are looking for candidates who bring a two-year diploma in architectural technology, engineering technology, building construction technology, computer-aided design (CAD) or journeyperson certification in a construction-related discipline. You will also bring the knowledge and skills obtained from your eight years of job-related experience in a building construction, inspection and/or estimating environment.
