Description

La Ronge is a scenic lake side community offering a full range of services and amenities located in the heart of Northern Saskatchewan with a population of approximately 3000. The community offers progressive growth amidst the natural beauty of the areas surrounding Lac La Ronge Provincial Park.

The Town of La Ronge is transforming itself and is seeking a Utility Clerk/Receptionist to participate as a member of our municipal team. The successful candidate will report to the Treasurer and will act as the Accounting Associate for the accounts receivable, payment receipts, and front line customer support for the Town.

The Utility Clerk/Receptionist is responsible for the preparation of utility notices, completing bank deposits, receipting and the control of petty cash. The successful candidate shall have proficiency working with computer office software (MS Word & Excel), office administration and an understanding of basic accounting. Experience with Munisoft software will be considered a strong asset. Assisting with other areas within the finance team may also be required. This position requires a high degree of initiative, flexibility, and strong organizational skills. Proven ability in the areas of office administration, customer service, time management and confidentiality is also required.
