Description

Responsibilities:
- Development and monitoring of annual budgets, identifying areas for improvement and correcting overall deficiencies;
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and good documentation practices are followed to track all work make data analysis efficient and drive reduction in deviations;
- Manage the distribution and utilization of resources in response to fluctuating workloads, changing priorities, and unforeseen problems;
-Lead, develop, mentor and engage direct reports to consistently meet goals and perform at the level of business excellence;
- Act as the liaison to internal and external stakeholders and provides direction for the development and facilitation of strategies and initiatives on all matters relevant to the City of Weyburns Engineering, Public Works Departments, Water Treatment Plant and Airport;
- Initiate strategic business planning processes and action plans, accountability frameworks, and performance reporting systems for the department;  
- Provide timely project reports, presentations, documentation as required to customers, senior management and Board of Directors.
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree in Civil Engineering recognized by the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan;
- Eligibility for membership as a professional Engineer in the province of Saskatchewan;
- Must hold and maintain a class 5 Drivers license;
- Knowledge of current standards, policies, procedures, legislation, and trends affecting municipal engineering;  
- Minimum eight years experience working as an Engineer;
- Minimum five years experience in a Management Position; and
-Experience within a municipal environment would be considered an asset.
