Responsibilities:
-Serves as a communications advisor to leadership and other departments
Developing and Implementing Orano Canadas communication strategy:
-Recognize, define, and execute communication opportunities
-Ensures strategy aligns with Orano Groups global strategy
-Identifies public relations challenges
-Develops and manages the budget
Leading Internal Communication strategies:
-Develops and executes plans to ensure that employees are aware of company changes, projects, policies, key messages, etc.
-Produces materials such as newsletters, presentations, or videos
-Oversees the preparation of information for annual reporting
-Oversees the development and maintenance of the intranet and website
Leading External Communication strategies:
-Develops and implements activities that promote and protects Orano's brand and reputation
-Develops and maintains strong relationships with the media, community groups, and other stakeholders, including First Nations and Mtis, government and regulatory agencies, partners, etc.
-Prepares key messages, news releases, speeches, etc., and/or presentations and organizes media events
-Monitors, tracks and reports Oranos mention, placement and contacts with media
-Ensures corporate brand and image standards are respected
-Engages in and coordinates Orano Canadas social media presence
Skills and Qualifications:
-Bachelors degree in communications or related field and min. 7 years experience in a communications role
-CMP, SCMP, or ABC certification is an asset
-Experience in planning, writing, editing, and production of media
-Demonstrated experience in managing a strategic communications, media relations, and marketing program
-Proficiency in Office programs and creative design and audio-visual software
-Proficiency in French an asset
Work Location & Schedule:
-Saskatoon
-Occasional travel to mine and project sites
