Qualifications:
1) Bachelor of Social Worker/Bachelor of Indian Social Work preferred.
2) Knowledge of Kinistin Saulteaux Nation?s traditions, values and customs, and ability to speak the Nakawe language a definite asset.
3) Experience working with First Nations people, with an understanding of family-of-origin issues and their impact on the family and community.
4) Knowledge of case management, crisis intervention procedures, child protection, child-in-care services and protocols.
5) Must possess strong team building work ethics.
6) Effective problem solving and decision-making skills.
7) Have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
8) Demonstrate ability to be a positive role model.
9) Working knowledge of PC software applications.
10) Willing to work flexible hours.
11) Must have a valid driver license and reliable vehicle.
12) Must submit to a criminal record check (CPIC) and Vulnerable Sector Check
One year term with the possibility of extension.
