Facility: Saskatoon City Hospital
Job Description: THE INCUMBENT WILL BE PART OF AN INTERDISCIPLINARY TEAM PROVIDING SERVICES TO CLIENTS RECEIVING TREATMENT IN THE REHABILITATION PROGRAM AT SASKATOON CITY HOSPITAL.  THE PROGRAM PROVIDES BOTH INPATIENT AND OUTPATIENT SERVICES.  THE  PRIMARY FOCUS OF THE PROGRAM IS TO FACILITATE OPTIMAL INDEPENDENCE FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT DISABILITY.  THE CLIENTS PRIMARILY PRESENT WITH NEUROLOGICAL CONDITIONS.  THERE IS A CONSULTATIVE AND SUPPORTIVE ROLE TO GERIATRIC SERVICES AND THE INTERDISCIPLINARY TEAM WITHIN BOTH PROGRAMS.  THE INCUMBENT WILL  BE A PH. D. PSYCHOLOGIST WITH SPECIALIZED TRAINING AND /OR EXPERIENCE IN THE AREAS OF NEUROPSYCHOLOGY ASSESSMENT, TREATMENT AND PSYCHOSOCIAL FACTORS RELATED TO PHYSICAL AND COGNITIVE DISABILITY. EXPERIENCE  IN BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES AND PAIN MANAGEMENT IS AN ASSET.
Required Qualifications

PhD in Clinical Psychology
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Other Information

Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.  HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria.

Broad assessment, treatment, and consultation expertise in areas relating to the impact of psycho-social factors on medical problems, health and rehabilitation.  Demonstrated clinical assessment and therapy skills in the area of clinical health psychology and neuropsychology.  Specific interest and training in behaviour and pain management strategie
