Description

The Metis Addictions Council of Saskatchewan Inc., better known as MACSI, is a non-profit community based provincial organization. As an Addictions Worker, you will perform a variety of duties that include, ensuring the health and safety of our clients, transporting clients to activities and meetings throughout the community, ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the facility, and are a representative of MACSI to help the clients with any needs they may have. This position requires weekend, evening and night hours, with the possibility of picking up shifts equivalent to full-time hours. All candidates must have a valid First Aid & CPR certification and Food Safe handling course
Responsibilities for this position include:
1.Supervises and monitors clients conduct and maintains records of client activity in documentation log and client travelling files.
2.Transporting clients to out of centre meetings and appointments.
3.Ensure the safety and wellbeing of the clients and the treatment centre.
4.Prepare and serve meals at designated times as outlined in the evening and weekend plans.
5.Ensure approved medication is taken by clients as per prescriptions and outlined program.
6.Ensure the evening and weekend programming at the centre functions consistently with the treatment program objective set out by the counselling staff.
7.Support and assist clients with their assigned tasks and responsibilities.
8.Perform general cleaning duties such as sweeping and mopping floors, spraying and disinfecting surfaces, and disposing of garbage for the facility as a whole.
9.General custodial and maintenance services such as the washrooms are fully stocked and clean and the facility is kept tidy.
10.Perform substance abuse testing to new and existing clients in the program.
The Successful Candidate will have a high school diploma, or equivalent, while also possessing strong interpersonal, problem solving, and time management skills.
