The Saskatchewan Research Councils (SRC) Environment and Biotech Division is seeking a contract administrator to administer multiple contracts for Project CLEANS (Cleanup of Abandoned Northern Sites) and other contracts as required for the division. This is a multi-year, multimillion-dollar project for the assessment and remediation of abandoned uranium mine sites in northern Saskatchewan.
Accountabilities
Comprehend and interpret all details of each contract
Review, monitor and report on project schedules
Track project completions, and monitor hold back requests and statutory declarations
Monitor daily progress reports and change orders, validate against terms of the contractual agreements; respond and take action as appropriate
Identify and monitor operational and contractual issues; inform and update the project management team
Monitor progress of the work for the purpose of processing progress payments
Maintain all necessary contract documentation
Qualifications
Five or more years of relevant experience in contract administration related to construction or remediation
Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA) or equivalent is preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint and Project is also an asset

Critical thinking, attention to detail and excellent organization and time management skills
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Open-minded, fair and responsive, able to negotiate or stand firm to resolve disputes as the situation demands
Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
The chosen candidate will be required to provide an original Criminal Record Check that is satisfactory to SRC prior to the commencement of any employment duties. The Criminal Record Check must have been executed within the preceding 30 days of receipt.
