Job Description: MSJ Home is a special care home that has 120 special people living here.  We are an Affiliate organization governed by a community Board of Directors.  The Home is sponsored by Bishop Albert Thevenot and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Prince Albert.

The Home is searching for an individual to serve, on an interim basis, the role of Director of Care.  The successful applicant will be a registered with the S.R.N.A. or the SPNAS preferably with a Masters in Nursing, have experience in the planning and provision of geriatric care along with extensive experience in the administration and leadership of a special care home.  Understanding and commitment to the Eden Alternative is required.

Specific Accountabilities Include:  1) determine and direct the provision of safe, holistic and quality care 2) manage and supervise human resources 3) ensure best practises for care 4) contribute to the overall leadership of the Home 5) manage financial resources of the team and 6) advocate for initiatives that improve the provision of care locally and provincially.
The successful applicant will commence these functions no later than 1 February 2020; preferably earlier and will serve in this capacity for 12 months.  Compensation based on SAHO compensation guidelines.
