Job Description: THE REGISTERED NURSE A IS RESPONSIBLE TO THE NURSING UNIT MANAGER OR DIRECTOR OF NURSING.  THE REGISTERED NURSE A IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING A HIGH STANDARD OF PATIENT CARE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE VISION, MISSION AND PHILOSOPHY OF THE PRINCE ALBERT PARKLAND HEALTH REGION. AS A MEMBER OF THE  NURSING DEPARTMENT, THE REGISTERED NURSE A HAS THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE ASSESSMENT, PLANNING, IMPLEMENTATION AND EVALUATION OF COMPREHENSIVE CLIENT CENTERED CARE IN THE CHEMOTHERAPY UNIT.  
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Experience
2 YEARS CHEMOTHERAPY EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. THE SUCCESFUL APPLICANT MUSTCOMPLETE THE COMMUNITY ONCOLOGY EDUCATTION PROGRAM AND PASS THE WRITTEN EXAM. THE INCUMBENT MAY HAVE TO ATTEND ORIENTATION IN SASKATOON FOR A PERIOD OF TIME.

Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Ability to adapt to changing conditions
Ability to communicate with and maintain an effective working relationship with clients from diverse social, economic and cultural backgrounds
Ability to competently use computers and software applications as required by the position

Successful applicant must provide a satisfactory valid Criminal Record Check (which may include a vulnerable sector query) before an Offer of Employment is made.

16 hours in a 3 week rotation. Shifts (days, evenings, nights) including actual hours, date of commencement and temporary end dates are for informational purpose only and may be subject to change.<
