The main duties of this position will be to open the store, put down mats, and prepare the morning coffee. You will then prepare and cook the daily soups, thaw, cook and/or slice the necessary products to fill kitchen orders for the day. While performing these tasks you will responsible for maintaining a tidy kitchen, and assisting on the front counter as needed.
The ability to see beyond the immediate working area is a definite asset. A preference is given to anyone who is willing to learn and understand each facet of the Bakerys operations so that assistance and correction can be supplied at any time.
During your employment with the Indian Head Bakery your job description may consist of any and/or all of the tasks listed below. You may be required to assist others in their duties as deemed necessary.
1. Using any of the electrical and manual appliances used in the Bakery:
Mixer, divider, rounder, sheeter, fryer, proofer, slicer, shrink wrapper, etc.
2. Preparing Food and food products for resale. Putting away stock orders.
3. Cleaning and organizing all areas both equipment and environment of the Bakery:
Front area
Kitchen
Slicing & Packaging Area
Donut area
Baking area
*You may be required to lift heavier items, in excess of 50 lbs.
